Summer Out & About Classes

(infant, toddler, preschool)

Come out and Explore! You and your children will enjoy time together meeting up with other families at various locations!  We will provide fun activities each week along with parenting topic resources. 

Wear your sunblock and bring your water bottles! Look for the "DL Early Childhood Family Education" sign when you arrive.

Limit 20 children in each group     

$5 per child for the series

June 2 & 3     Country Fields Greenhouse  See and smell the colorful flowers and plants.  Children will take a plant home.

June 9 & 10     Detroit Mountain Natural Play Area: Explore outdoor play space with natural materials like logs and boulders as well as some commercially produced elements. 29409 170th St

June 16 & 17     Ortenstone Gardens and Sculpture Park: Walking trails, large scale stone and branch art, Barefoot Frida Troll. 1646 Randolph Road, DL   

June 23 & 24      Dunton Locks County Park: Follow Fish Hatchery Recreation Trail along the Pelican River!  You might even see a troll!  3 miles south of Detroit Lakes on US HWY 59, then 1/3 mile west on Co Rd 6, then south on Co Rd 19 to Dunton Locks Rd.

June 30 & July 1     Water Play Day at ECFE:  Come ready to get wet with water play activities and bubbles - ECFE area MState.
