NewAnnual Boiler Training for School DistrictsAdult EnrichmentInstructor: Ben Weekley This 8 hour course is designed especially for Minnesota school districts that want to meet their lawful boiler operator annual training requirements. (This training is required by law.) Minnesota Statute 326B.974 School Engineer, Subd. 2. School District Training States:A school district shall allow to occur annually at least eight hours of training related to boiler operation to a licensee described in subdivision 1. The training must be administered by a licensed first or chief class engineer during the licensee’s normal working hours. Two hours of the required training shall occur in the boiler room and must include demonstration of tasks associated with operating boilers. The tasks associated with operating boilers acceptable for the training must be from the list of approved tasks supplied by the chief boiler inspector. Lunch provided.Summer 2026 -
Handgun Permit to Carry TrainingAdult EnrichmentInstructor: Gary Thompson This class covers the basic fundamentals of handgun use and possession, as well as gun regulations as they apply in Minnesota and other states. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an endorsed certificate, allowing you to apply for your permit with your local sheriff's department. Participants must be at least 18 years of age in order to apply for the permit. Please bring your own handgun, 30 rounds of ammunition, and protective and ear wear to the outdoor range qualification shoot immediately following the classroom training. Your fee includes range fees, one-on-one coaching, information packet, certificate of completion, quick reference wallet card, and a target. Guns are available to rent for an additional $30 fee.
