Gingerbread House Bake & BuildAdult EnrichmentInstructor: Tess Georgakopoulos Cook-Along, Demonstration, & Presentation style class! Gather the whole family and join in the fun Baking and Building your very own show-stopping gingerbread house from scratch during this festive Family Bake-along experience. Together, we will combine the wonderful flavors of gingerbread and use the dough to create the pieces that will be used to “build” breathtaking houses. We will also whip up the perfect batch of stiff Royal Icing—the edible “glue” that holds everything together and is used to decorate the houses with candies and delicious treats. Participants will receive a professionally made PDF ingredient list and prep packet a week in advance of the class to allow time for shopping and preparation. The packet will also include the Instructor’s “Gingerbread House Specific” Recipe that she has tested time and time again to ensure the cookie pieces are delicious but strong enough to hold the weight of the icing and decorations. A template that will need to be printed and cut out before class to be used as a “pattern” will also be included. Whether you are starting a new family tradition, or continuing a beloved one, this cozy, joy-filled experience will leave everyone smiling, and maybe sneaking a few gumdrops. By the end, participants will have built not just a stunning work of art, but sweet memories to last a lifetime!Fall 2025 -

Little Lakers School ReadinessWelcome to Little Lakers! Our school readiness program emphasizes activities in all areas of growth and learning. Research-based High Scope curriculum, implemented in classes, teaches children to initiate, discover, experience, and learn about ideas, events, and people. Children will create, experiment, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts as they learn. This approach enhances each young person's growth in the foundations of academics as well as in social-emotional, physical, and creative areas. The development of each child is discussed with parents/guardians. The program includes a diverse grouping of children reflective of our community and inclusive with early childhood special education. Classes run September to May. Tuition/participation fees are monthly, through arranged payments, or may be reduced or waived depending upon your financial situation. Notification of enrollment: We begin notifying families in mid February and on-going. Once you receive confirmation of acceptance, there will be a $30 fee to hold your spot. If classes fill, we keep a wait list and notify families when openings come up. All families are encouraged to apply as wait lists change frequently. Applications are accepted on-going. This structure supports developmental needs across age groups while providing enriching, age-appropriate experiences for all participants. Registration required.
